Came across this the other day about a cat found after six years!

Couple go to buy new cat and find the cat they lost six years ago | NewsToday

Obviously not implying this tabby was actually there for the entire time of course, but I've always advised people to actually visit the rescue centres as opposed to just calling when their cats were missing and local searches revealed nothing. Lots of reports of messages not being relayed etc.

The thing is, if you love your cat, especially as their nature can be to wander you have to chip them! It should be a pre requisite of ownership!
