so after nearly 48 hours now our new baby seems to be ok in his new home..
he sleeps a lot, eats well, loves playing with my laptop(!), purrs 90% of the day but still meows if we dont pay him any attention..
i think he likes having his belly rubbed, he tends to turn on his back and whenever i stroke him he purrs but he also gets his claws out and starts biting me.. it doesnt hurt much but worries me that he might still be scared of me or trying to fight with me ? i dont know.. he also licks me very often, especially my hands..
he doesnt really sleep in his bed, even that we keep his blanket, which the breeder was using, it doesnt seem to bother him much.. he prefers our bed.
he didnt have any "accidence" ... yet, always uses his tray..

overall he seems like a happy kitten, the only thing that worries me is this biting and having his claws out whenever we play..

The claws and teeth thing is normal but needs curbing - blow gently on him and say no and he will stop and probably switch to licking you.

how old is he?

when he claws or bites remove your hand - its 'play' to him, but if he thinks its ok he'll keep doing it - not so good when he gets real claws!

sleeping on your bed is a good sign!

He's 12 weeks and 4 days

He really is gorgeous

I wouldn't worry about the claw/biting thing too much - Oscar occasionally did it when we got him (usually when over excited or his having tummy tickled), we simply took our hands aways and stopped playing with him ignored/him. He seemed to learn really fast! I also think we learned - as you get to know them you can predict when they are likely to be getting over-stimulated and stop before it happens.

Our ex-feral cat bites/scratches whenever anyone touches him in certain spots ( so we've learned what not to do) but he's a different kettle of fish all round to a hand tamed house kitten.

He is very cute. sounds like he is settling in fine
