Re: a problem im having.

If it was me I would litter train them first Since they're leaving a mess everywhere that means they're not really ready in my opinion to use the loo.

You learn something new everyday poor kitties they should have them trained in a normal cat litter tray also I am wondering about hygiene surely that can be a problem with cat's pee or poo getting in contact with the toilet seat and humans are sharing it as well.

To be honest I don't think you can train a cat to use the human toilet easily. I'd imagine it would be something a cat would want to do of their own volition. Cats are very intelligent animals and it would be great if my cats were to use the loo. It would save me a fortune in OKO

I found this yesterday in Pets at Home and it did make me giggle and it comes with DVD too:

Litter Kwitter Toilet Training Kit for Cats with DVD by Doogie's | Pets at Home

I think the system has a toilet seat cover a bit like the ones for children. I haven't known anyone succeed with this system, not because the cats couldn't be trained but because you really need a dedicated loo for cats so the various stages can be left in place. People just give up because it's such a faff.

Re: a problem im having.

I've been using the LK for 6 months now with my two boys. We've only ever had the one toilet in the house, and yes the boys get priority in any queue. They started at a year old and Freckle prefers the toilet to a litter tray or outside. Bloo doesn't care - he will go outside if we are out, and use the toilet otherwise so he can get a treat.

Both were perfectly litter trained prior to starting toilet training, and both still use litter while boarding etc. As for hygiene, it's a lot cleaner then tracking litter throughout the house Their waste goes into the water and is flushed away, and we are very particular about cleaning the toilet.

It's not something that is for every cat or for every person however, and does take a lot of time and effort.

I'd be too scared they would fall in and not be able to get out if they're still tiny!!!
