New Cat Tree?

After what happened to Gloworm, I'm a little bit concerned that getting another scratching post is gonna scare me to much, however I feel for Salem and Savannah as it's only small :-( would it be bad of me to get a new cat tree?

Re: New Cat Tree?

No it would be bad of you to get a bad tree- it's good of you to get a good tree.

Re: New Cat Tree?

make sure it's got a stable base and it doesn't wobble - if you can see it put up before you buy. I have got a floor to ceiling one but I don't expect you want one of those. It doesn't matter how much you try to keep them safe they will always have the potential to hurt themselves - we used to only have a low one and then Minnii found a way to get on top of one of my cupboards and decided to jump dow onto the dining room table and missed - she broke her foot! Really nothing I could have done about it. I think you were very unlucky with Gloworm.

Re: New Cat Tree?

i got a cat barrell from zooplus because it looked sturdy

3 levels & 70cm tall

not a great photo but newton like the top - they dont use it fully (), but both use it as scratch post

Re: New Cat Tree?

I can understand how difficult it must be for you but they will benefit from a good tree. I haave 2 and they are both equally loved and used every day, one is just a small ish one with a den at the bottom and a tube on a platform at the top, only about 4.5 ft tall.

I also have the La Digue from zooplus which is fab, very very very sturdy, not even seen a slight wobble even with all three of mine racing up it. Given what happened to your boy you would probably be more comfortable with the top platform left off for now bit its a brilliant tree.
spid likes this.

Re: New Cat Tree?

Like dom85 we have just bought the La digue from zoo plus. It is sturdy and our 3 British love it.
The top sleeping deck has not been used yet but like dom85 said you can always take that off.
