Cat's & Playdoh

Is playdoh really bad for cat's if it they actually eat a bit? I'm actually asking for a friend, we stay away from playdoh as my daughter tries to eat it

Re: Cat's & Playdoh

Just done a google search, one site says Play Doh has a very high salt content and can be dangerous if eaten in large quantities. I would contact the vet just in case, I wouldn't want to rely on google.

Hope kitty is OK.

Re: Cat's & Playdoh

When I was a kid one of my friends cats used to steal her little brothers playdoh and eat it. I dunno if it is bad for them but their cat seemed ok. Best be safe than sorry of course! From experience it does taste quite salty

Re: Cat's & Playdoh

Have told her to contact the vet just incase, she said it was only a small amount, but was still concerned.

Re: Cat's & Playdoh

Play doh is non toxic as children often do try and eat it so should be ok but probably ask the vets to be on the safe side!
