Re: GCCF papers

just read the thread. sounds like you are being lead up the garden path a bit tbh, sounds a bit dodgey to me as she hasnt had the kitten long her self. just smells a bit off to me

tbh if your not in a rush you may as well let this one pass as it dosent seem too good.

Re: GCCF papers

I would be a little bit wary too - I would also be concerned about whether the original breeder would be very happy about having the kitten sold on. Most of the time they would rather have the kitten back themselves to rehome from there.

I would certainly look at other options first and just see if there are any other suitable girls out there

if she has a signed form saying she is on Active that should be the pink transfer slip, but you said she is waiting for her paperwork? unless she photo copied the pink slip b4 she sent it? but it is no good her sending that onto you as you will not be able to transfer from that, she needs to phone the gccf and get a blue form sent to her then fill it out sign it and send it to you so you can then transfer her to your name?

Re: GCCF papers

If you get this kitten you must be mad! She may not even be active. I would advise the person to let the breeder know she can't keep the kitten and let the breeder have the kitten.

If you want to breed get a kitten from a breeder who has all the paperwork. Why rush things? Yesterday you wanted a lilac, now you are getting one? have you even seen the pedigree? will her lines go with your boys? I would take time and find the right girl.

Be careful!

OK ask to see if she has a copy of the pink transfer slip she had from her breeder, as this would be proof she is registerd and also will tell you if she is on the active reg or not, you really need that proof, also Does the breeder no her Intention of selling the kitten on? Is there any restrictions the breeder put on her contract? and you need her to get the blue transfer form as without that she is still legally her cat untill she has been registered in your name. but you must see the proof she is on the Active register before parting with your money,
Believe me i made this mistake with 1 of my boys, i bought him as a young stud on the active and she said the paper work hadnt come through, but i did locate the breeder and to my discussed the cat was PET ONLY I had to then talk with the breeder for months b4 she agreed to me having him on Active reg and i also had to pay her another £300 as he was origanally sold as a pet even though i had already paid the other lady Active Stud price so you see no every one is genuine hun so please be careful when parting with your hard earned cash.

Re: GCCF papers

i have to agree with Lyn and BiaWhiskas hun, rushing this could only end up in heartbreak hun xx

it is very hard sometimes to get kittens, i know from experience, but please tread carefully as as much as this Lady has been upfront about the kitten being from another breeder she may not be upfront about the contract she signed when they bought her x if the original breeder doesn't know and finds out you could get into trouble too as you knew this girl's background and still went ahead with it xx
