Re: GCCF papers

the Registrations norm take about 2/3wks to come through, so if the kitten is 6 months old why didnt the breeder do it sooner??

you should still get a copy of her pedigree but it just wont have her Reg and breed numbers on it? you will have to fill those out when you get her transfer papers.

Re: GCCF papers

That sounds very suspicious to me - there's no excuse for not having the papers for a 6 month old kitten. It would not take that long, even given the fact that GCCF are a bit slow with regs. at the moment. Unless of course there was a major problem with the registration which again would be very suspicious

Re: GCCF papers

If you have the breeder's details,. prefix, names of kitten's parents etc, you might be able to ask GCCF if a litter registration has been received. Seriously though, don't go ahead with buying this kitten unless you're absolutely sure the registration is OK, otherwise you could be very disappointed. Do you even know if the parents are GCCF registered - that at least would be a bit of reassurance.

unless you can get the names registration numbers of the sire & dam you could then phone the gccf and ask if any kittens from them have been registerd in the last 6month if she is 6 months old, if the breeders intention was to sell all the kittens Registerd then they should be done b4 the kittens leave her 13wks old, but she may of decided to keep one their self but then decided later down the line to sell her? but they should of been registed before now??
