Whew! Such relief at your happy ending! A few years ago I went through this on 2 separate occasions with 2 of my cats - in both cases they were missing for FIVE DAYS and I was absolutely sick with worry.

But the joy when they came home safe and sound and wondering what the fuss was all about.....well the joy was beyond anything.

Funnily enough, each cat never did it again. Always stayed close to the house after that. Wonder where on earth they went to? Oh the things they could tell us if they could talk!!

Buster did that too. He went missing for around 5 days and one evening I left the back door open and he just mozied on in without a care in the world! He was really dusty like he's been laying underneath someone's shed or something. I was sooooo relieved when he turned up! I did scold him for worrying Mummy so much!

Re: Annie hasn't come home this morning.

You know, with both my wanderers, they each went walkabouts shortly after being rehomed with me as young adults, and shortly after they were allowed outside.

I think they went wandering off to check out the neighbourhood, have a bit of an adventure, and then took the scenic route home again when they decided that our house was really OK, all things considered.

Aren't they funny?
