Mad half hour

Does anyone elses cat have set times of day they go nuts? Ozzie tends to do this in the evening about 6 & again 10.30. He flies about like a nutter, launching himself on and off g surfaces. Just had himself fly.at me when I was eating.a yoghurt, both him and me covered in strawberry goo. He is quite happy licking himself clean whilst I wash the sofa down!

Re: Mad half hour

Yeah Jaffe does that too. Usually in the morning. I read that it is because the have too much pent up energy and are burning it off. I found that if I play fetch with him it distract him from knocking everything off the table, trying to climb the curtains etc, etc, etc

Your poor sofa . If you are not careful he might try that stunt again just to get some yoghurt

Re: Mad half hour

How do you get him to play fetch? in ozzies case that involves him tapping the ball around til it rolls under the tv cabinet & I dislocate my shoulder retrieving it, repeated ad nauseum. Not.sure thats the idea! bought him the cat track but he bites the cover off the track so he can get the ball out & chase that under the cabinet too lol

Re: Mad half hour

Aww bless Ozzie that's funny! I have to say I didn't teach him he just loves to chase his ball and I think he has figured that I won't throw it unless he brings it back! Clever little boy! What about getting him a laser pen? Jaffe loves to chase that then Ozzie can run around like a nutter and you can sit and have a yoghurt in peace knowing you will get to eat it and not wear it

Re: Mad half hour

ohhhhh yessssss

6am and 10 pm. They really scare me at times they go that mad they are virtually bouncing of the walls!! De-de flew off the settee at such force last night she landed on a heap on the floor. I think she winded herself because she lay there really still with her little tounge sticking out for a minute then just as I began to panick up she got and carried on at 90 mile an hour.

Re: Mad half hour

There aren't any specific 'mad' times here but they come in 30-45 min bursts. However, 2am-3am is "suck mummy's face" time.
