Should I be worried?

Blake and Chaucer are right around the 4 month mark. Since they were rescues, we're not sure of birth dates, but Blake's seems to have been around mid-May, and Chaucer 2 weeks after (by the vet's calculations and the shelter's estimate of age when they were brought in). They are going in later this week for some vaccinations, but in the meantime, I thought I'd ask here what folks thought.

I swear I can feel Blake's little man-bits when I pick him up. I've had male kittens before, all neutered at 6 months, and I don't recall ever feeling them before. I don't want to get them done too early, but I don't want him to start marking and spraying. So far, no changes in behavior at all. He's still just a sweet, loving little babycat with everyone. I'll talk to the vet, but should I be concerned he's developing early, or just assume he's, um, well-endowed?

Re: Should I be worried?

One of my male kittens were the same at around 4 -4.5 mths old ... I took him and the other one to the vets though as i was worried about them spraying, and she said although they were descended (and quite large lol) she still wouldnt neuter til 6 months although they could have quite safely. My other boy though wasnt quite as well endowed lmao.

Re: Should I be worried?

I have been able to see Spencer's 'sack' since I got him at 4 months and OH says you can feel his balls. I've never felt them myself but it was a couple weeks ago now that he said he can feel them and they are nearly 6 months now.

Re: Should I be worried?

Whew. I feel a bit better. He's going to be a huge cat if he keeps growing at his current pace, so I guess he's just got huge equipment to go along with it. OH also said he could see them, but put it down to Blake's sack being covered in dark hair, while his pants are mostly lighter colored.
