If veterinary help is sought early, soon after ingestion then ( before it causes kidney failure ) then it's generally reversible. Interestingly enough it's not the actual ethelyne glycol which is toxic but the harmful end-products created through the cat metabolising it that pose the serious risk. Once this happens and kidneys are involved then the prognosis is very poor.
