Re: Few moving house questions
Thanks
Yes ive had my little fuzzy friend since he was 8 weeks old. Hes never been outside + I dont really want him ever out of sight for loads of reasonsHes very special to me + my fiancee as im sure you can imagine. Will keep in mind the whole moving process. Just need some kind of outdoor tunnel that attaches to the cat flap + leads to the inside of the pen. |

Re: Few moving house questions
Two weeks ago moved to another flat a few metres from the old one and everything went smoothly.
We moved all our stuff first and she had great fun watching all the packing and moving around. Then Ari's stuff and her. We put the dirty bedlinen on the new bed so she would have the familiar smell and she was kept inside the bedroom for the first two days (builders were still fixing the main bathroom). I haven't let her in the balcony yet, but I can say she's been happy and feeling at home since day 2. |

Re: Few moving house questions

i had a look at that playpen how high is it? the reason i ask is because cats love to climb and i wonder if it was big enough for him to do that. is there no way you can build a small pen over the back door or window or even patio/french doors onto the house. if you need a tunnel can you not make it yourself. i have seen tunnels made and attached to cat pens, but i have a rather large pen for my cats which is or will be made adjacent to my conservatory (i have pulled down the old one and are having a new one built). there will be a patio door but also a catflap incorporated into the wall so when the patio is closed they can still get out into the run through the catflap.

Re: Few moving house questions
Think its about 60 cm which will be fine. I say that as the set I currently have on the balcony he doesnt climb at all. Hes happy just looking out + rolling around.
I would do a cat flap in the wall but its a brand new house plus the walls pretty thick so dont want to do that option. The cat flap in the double glazing works better. It'd also be on a section which is just a window next to the door so the tunnel/flap wouldnt ever move obvioulsy. The other good thing is it can all easily but stored away during the winter season |

Re: Few moving house questions
if its a new house it will have cavity walls and you can if you want to put a sleeve through the cavity, but othewise i cant help you with regards to a tunnel unless as i said earlier try making one and you can perhaps fold it up at the end of the season
