Re: I hate feeling like this

It is painful enough when you lose an elderly cat but when it is a young cat it is much worse I lost my Bailey to FIP he was 5days from being a year old I remember coming home and screaming it hurt so much but I had lost my 20 year old cat just 3 months before so really double pain it took me a long time to get over this but Chinablue helped me enormously I poured out my heart to her even to this day I get sad looking at pictures of my furbabies that have passed. Years ago I lost a kitten at 12 weeks his lungs were not growing and he had to be PTS. But what I am trying to say is the pain will get easier but in my experience it does not fully go away but when you get your new baby he/she will help you big time and some of your pain will fade

Re: I hate feeling like this

Hello Malibu,

I'm so sorry for the loss of your little Gloworm. The fact that it was so sudden and so tragic makes the pain harder to bare. I understand that you hate feeling how you do but you but you need to grieve so that you can heal. From the posts I have read you have been so strong for your little one and that is something to be proud. Don't be too hard on yourself because you feel sad though. You obviously loved Gloworm for the time you had him and you will always will love him but bit by bit the loss will hurt a little less and you will be able to smile when you think of him and you can carry him in your heart always. (((*hug*)) XXX

Re: I hate feeling like this

((hugs)) I hate to think what I would be like if anything bad happened to Molly, so I can only imagine what you might be feeling

I think as others have said, time will lesson the grief, you will never ever forget Gloworm but in time all you will have is happy memories

Am I right in thinking you are pregnant ..... sure I read that somewhere, if not I apologise!! Hormones might also be playing a big part in your emotions, even at the best of times pregnancy is a minefield!

Just think in a couple of weeks you will have a new furry baby to focus your attention on, am sure the joy they will bring will help in the healing process for both yourself and your daughter

Re: I hate feeling like this

Sending you lots of hugs Malibu ((())). many of us here know all too well the pain of losing a beloved pet and whether they were old and had a good life or young and tragically taken away from us. I'm sure I can say we understand your grief For my own part I lost a little Siamese girl (9months old - RTA ) just over four years ago now and there is still hardly a day when I do not think of her with a lump in my throat and tears in my eyes. But I can think of her now and remember all the funny little things she used to do - like climbing onto the plumbers back while he was half in a cupboard sorting out our central heating and following him into the loft to give her assistance
I hope your pain eases soon Malibu and you can remember Gloworm with a smile along with the tears. I hope your new kitten helps to do that and that a new furless baby will help too
Jenny is right - pregnancy so messes with your hormones without any additional cause for tears

Think of it another way ..... if it all happens at the same time, at least you get it all out of the way

Things will get better, I promise x

Re: I hate feeling like this

I feel your pain and sadness like many on here Time does heal and it will get easier, but only in your own time.

My Timmy was pts 3 years ago this December, he was very ill with FIP, he was a rescue that adopted me for just over 4 years, he was an adult cat, we never really knew how old he was. I was devastated, empty and felt I had lost my best friend. I still love and miss him so very much. I have happy memories of him and for the time he lived with me I know that I gave him all the love and care he so needed, he was a very happy boy.

I look at his photos now and they make me smile, even though I still feel sad.

We are all here for you hun if you need to talk xxx
