Re: Homechecking in advance?
Just to add I would stay well clear of any rescues that don't home check or vet check, because if they cut corners by not home checking/vet checking you have to ask yourself what else are they not doing? A good rescue will make sure the kittens are fully vaccinated, flea, wormed, sometimes micro chipped and either neuter before they leave rescue or foster home as alot of rescues use foster homes,or they go away with a contract where you agree to neuter at the right age, some rescues get you to bring the cat back to their own vets to make sure it is done.
Adoption fees depend on the rescue in question and how much vets costs are in their area and that varies from area to area, I would however be wary of rescues that charge different prices for different breeds of cats. If you have any questions or aren't sure about anything please do ask before you adopt
