totally understood. animals have no voice and if it wasn't for people being as upfront and as blunt as you, they would never get heard. thank you so much for all of your support and rollokings it has sorted me out. now i know. RIP poor old girl may you run free

Re: devastated for cat owner

The RSPCA comment 'double bag and bin the dead cat' was surely totally wrong? The poor owners would of never known their cat had been killed and buried - terrible.
Shouldn't the cat of been taken to a nearby vet for scanning of a microchip first?
And surely that applies to this thread starter, after killing the cat they should of taken it to a vet for scanning, or have asked nearby houses at the time who it belonged too.

No you have been insulting I don't actually think it's possible to insult myself.

All I 'm going to say is lets gt back on topic although I am with other posters who think a troll posted this and I'm not wasting anymore time on this as very busy at the moment.

Same circumstances as you re: my own cat CofA. My overriding thought when ploughing through this warzone of a thread though was 'Why don't you all just go & cuddle your own cats whilst you've still got them seeing as they're the real reason you're all here'.

Re: devastated for cat owner

Well all I can say is that accidents do happen. They shouldn't, but they do. OP has owned up to her part in it, which was courageous, I think.
I ran over a cat with my car. It was early dawn on a quiet road in an industrial area. I was travelling slowly, but the cat came over a wall and under my wheels: I didn't even have time to apply the brakes. When I got out, the cat was gone. I knwo he was very badly hurt because my wheels had gone over it. I searched the verges but couldn't see the cat. I came back after sunrise but still couldn't find it.
Did I feel bad? Oh yes
Could it have been avoided: no, I honestly do not think so.
It still haunts me, and this took place 15 years ago.
If a cat is allowed to wander freely along dangerous roads, then I cannot reasonably be angry with the driver of the car that hits it. And yes, I have had a cat run over many years ago, so I do understand the pain.
