Hey Guys,

I let Poppy and Sky my 6 month old kittens out for the very first time today!!! seems to be going well at the moment ive left their cat flap open and keep looking out the window to check they are about, they keep comin back to the front garden every 5 mins which is good. Feel so nevous and on edge but im sure they will be ok!! thought id let them out at 5:30pm as it is quite quiet round my area at this time and there still out lol its now 8:30pm. They are loving it, keep poping in through their cat flap but then shoot straight back out. Gonna try and get them in before i go to bed...

Glad they seem to be enjoying themselves and I can understand you being nervous.

Aww, bless them. I'm dreading when I let my little one out (prob Feb time). We let her out on Saturday mornings for about 15mins as she's now fully vaccinated, she loves it already.

Did you manage to get them in ok? How do you train your kitties to come back?

I heard that if you send them out without feeding them before hand they are likely to come back at night. I am in no way an expert but this is something I have picked up on by reading these threads.

I am sure it is very nerve racking but once you get used to it it should be fine Good luck.
