I have the fussiest cat's

They are more fussy then my 3 year old and she is definately fussy

I've tried feeding them just wet food and they have none of it, so in the end I was doing both wet and dry, which they seem to be coping with better however they get bored of the wet food after a few weeks, i've tried different flavour's aswell as different brand's and they are great on them for a while but then go off it again

I bet Molly would give you a run for your money

We have tried soooooooooooooooooo many foods that I've lost count!! At the moment she will only eat gourmet beef in tomato sauce. I've given up worrying about it, as long as she eats then that's all I can hope for.

We've tried JWB, Applaw's, Animonda Carny, Hi life, Classic cat and now on Nature's menu they love them to begin with, then stop after a while, it's more Lola and Pixie then Salem, but I wanted them all on the same food since they tend to eat in the same room, maybe i'l have to look at feeding them seperately

Re: I have the fussiest cat's

Have you tried rotation? So a different one every day or every couple of days so not on the same thing for any length of time so hopefully won't get bored of it?

That's what I do, Maisie has three wet meals a day depending on what tins open, eg)) one meat meal, one fish, one meat.

I substitute one wet meal every other day for a complimentary applaws or encore as they are her fav's, plus she has dry Origen out all day but that's measured so she doesn't stuff her face and then not eat her wet meals

Rotation works for us. Our cats get 4 meals a day, usually different brands at every meal, but definitely different flavours. They eat most of what we give them quite happily, and if they don't eat something, it's usually because they actually don't like it rather than because they're bored.

Surely feeding them different brand's each day will give them a bad belly??

My Frankie can be a bit fussy at times and goes through phases, this week he will not eat fish!! So it's meat in gravy

I do like to rotate different varieties.

No. Once you've introduced a certain food, and they're tolerating it with no problems, you'd have to go quite a long time without feeding it for the tolerance to wear off.

It isn't giving them a variety of food that upsets their stomachs, but suddenly introducing something they've never had before.
