Which food?

Posted this in cat health but no replies and could do with sone advice soon as need to feed them.

Cats haven't had much of the food I left out this morning. I have some tins of gourmet but think they are only complementary? I also have a box of adult Felix pouches. Do I give them fresh Smilla in the hope they'll eat it or offer a Felix pouch? I need to give Skye her powder so need to get something into her but not sure what to use?

Re: Which food?

I'm no expert but I think I'd probably try them with what you want them to eat (Smilla), perhaps a little bit later than their normal feed time (by which time, if they've eaten very little all day they should - in theory anyway -be hungry). Then, failing that you can always give them what you don't want them to eat but know they will eat (Felix!).

Can you mix the powder into a smaller amount of food - then if Skye eats any at all she'll be getting her medicine.

That's probably what I'd do in the absence of any better advice - but I'm prepared to stand corrected!

Re: Which food?

Thanks, I gave them one of those small gourmet gold tins between them and mixed Skye's powder into that. Although she only seemed to lick the gravy off but I'm guessing that's where the powder would be - or hoping anyway! Just put some Smilla in a bowl for them and Skye seemed to eat some. I think she struggles with chunks as anything I give her with chunks she just licks the gravy off whereas she seems to eat pate type foods as not so many chunks.
