Unhappy poor cat

I'm sure I've mentioned it on here before. I live on a really busy road hence have indoor cats.

there is a road that runs at a right angle to my house that I park in. That road is slightly less busy than mine but still very busy. Anyway there is a little tortie girl that lives very close to the corner. Her owners seem to let her out the front or she finds her way round there and there is no cat flap on the front and I see her all the time on their front window sill miaowing to come in. I've worried for ages that she won't live long and don't give her any fuss in case it encourages her. She followed me to my door once.

Tonight I parked my car opposite their house (it's a street of terraced houses so on street busy parking) and she came across and started doing roll overs next to my car right in the middle of the road. Then this car came really fast down the road and she didn't move out of the road at all. I thought he was going to hit her so I moved out into the road and started doing frantic arm gestures. Anyway he was obviously thinking what is that mad cow doing and fortunately slowed right down and she eventually got out of the road and ran off. I thought she was a goner for sure. I felt absolutely sick to my stomach

Ok tonight wasn't her time but how long is she going to have.

Re: poor cat

Poor kitty. I could never let my cat out if I lived on a busy road, or near any main roads for that matter which is why my two won't be going out.

Agree with trying to speak to the owner? Probably fighting a losing battle but may be worth a try?

Re: poor cat

I have a couple of outdoor cats that do daft things like that. I wish they wouldn't!

Re: poor cat

I will try on sunday. I leave work too early to try in a morning. Knocked tonight but no answer. I dont think they will answer the door to me though to be honest. People round here really keep themselves to themselves. I don't even know my neighbours names on the one side I've only spoken to them once and I bought the house nearly a year ago now. I tried knocking and introducing myself when I moved but nooone would open the door. I knew they were in.
