Re: Travelling With Cats
Hi there.
I travel frequently with my cat on trains to shows, stud etc, and she copes remarkably well. What I'd suggest is that you book a table for you and your brother. Put a thick blanket or a towel over all of the carrier, but leave the front clear. Sleep with the towel so that it gets covered in your scent so that they are surrounded by it when you travel.
Turn the box so that the front, the only bit they can see out of, faces directly at you. When they're on the table and you're in your seat, they'are at a level where they can see you/your face easily, and this really calms them down. I talk to them a lot, put my fingers into the carrier to give them a tickle etc, and my girl's so good now that she even prefers to come out on a harness and sit on my lap instead.
Put puppy pads in the bottom, but do bring spares with you so that you can whip them away if an accident happens.
