My little baby turned 6 months on the 8th. His transformation is unbelievable, especially considering he has Calici and should have affected him more. He has been eating, playing, destroying things, growing, eating, playing, destroying things, sleeping, growing. He seems to spend most of his time eating or destroying things (play, according to him!). I commented the other day that it's like living with two kids, as there are toys, bits of food they have nicked from the bins, their own food which they have picked out of the bowl to eat off the floor, socks, kitchen roll, clothes (partly my fault, partly Benji for deciding knocking all the folded washing flying would be fun), bottlecaps that they have nicked, straws they have nicked, the bathrug that Storm keeps dragging around the flat....................... you get the picture I read somewhere that "Everything that is on the floor is my toy, everything that isn't will be", well it certainly rings true for these two.

When Benji arrived at 12 weeks old he weighed 1.1 kilos and was so tiny and fragile. He is now a chunky monkey and practically growing by the second. His tail is lovely and bushy and he carries it much like a husky, curled over his back looking very cocky and sure of himself! He weighed 4 kilos on the dot on his 6 month non-birthday and today weighs 4.25. His face has developed really well and is looking much like his daddy with a lovely cute grumpy face! If you google images of Battlecreek O'alaska he is the first very grumpy looking kitteh! We can't help but laugh at him sometimes as he just looks like such an old grumpy grandad with his loveable little face! He is nicknamed Grumpface for obvious reasons, but also wabbit as his back legs are quite long and he does bunny hops around the flat when he is playing!

He isn't very talkative, I can count the amount of times on my hand that I've heard him squeak, whereas Storm is much more chatty. He is a very very sweetnatured little boy,follows me from room to room but his cuddles are rare occasions, but all the more lovely for it. He will sit in my lap (although he is now officially too big for it) and purr his little heart out while I scratch his belly and his chin for a good half hour. Sometimes he decides 4am is a fantastic time for mommy-snugs and cuddles up to me under the duvet and purrs. I say he is sweet natured but I can't go as far as saying he wouldn't hurt a fly, as he has eaten plenty of them! He is also my spider specialist and noms them for me so I don't have to get rid of them. Since he found one coming out of the bath plug he won't leave the bath tub or sink alone

Being a MC he does take an odd interest in water, he doesn't necessarily jump in the bath with me but is always climbing around the bathtub and sink, and sticks his head and paws in running water including his own water fountain. Sometimes I catch him just sitting there in his own little world looking at the waterfall

He started cleaning his nose when he was bang on 5 monts, it was just today as he didn't like the flavour of the food I put down yesterday so Storm ate it all, Benji has since made up for it, and saved some for later His nose is now white and pretty again though

Benji has grown so much, he isn't my little babby any more!!! If you compare the two piccieswhere they are sleeping together, then add to the fact that Storm has also added on 0.75 kilos since we got him so gotten longer and much thicker, it makes it really obvious how much bigger he hass gotten!

Benji says it is HIS birdie (he actually gets jealous if Storm sits next to it!).
