Kittywitty is on a distinguished road
My cat outdoor cat keeps trying to escape out of the front door

Can anyone help?
My outdoor cat has taken to sitting by the front door meowing to be let outside. He has a cat flap in the rear door to the house, which he can use whenever he wants, but now he seems determined to only go out the front door. I do not let him out the front as it sits on a road. I initially thought that the new White front door might be confusing him and he had begun to associate White doors with going outside (back door is White) but I'm not sure?
Has anyone experienced anything similar or have any advice as to how I can stop/deter him from wanting to go out the front door?
