Hello!

Could you please help me to take a good decision?

I've split up with my boyfriend and moved house a month ago with my 5 years old female cat. We now leave 15 miles away and she settled well in her new surrounding.
I am going to visit my family in france for 10 days at Christmas and my ex-boyfriend proposed to look after her during that time but I dont know if it's a good idea as it might confuse her to go back to his house...

I must tell you that he is not sure to be there for the full 10 days but told me that his sister will come and feed my cat if he has to leave the house for a few days. My cat leaved in his house for 2 years and it has a cat flap so she is free to come and go as she wants.

My other option is to leave my cat in a cattery but it means that she will not go out for all the time I'll be away...

Personally, I would opt for the cattery to avoid confusion and you broke up with this guy for a reason so I wouldn't think it would be a great idea if he was doing you a favour.

I would go for the cattery. Either option she is leaving her surroundings so i think she'd be better off safe in a cattery. Just be sure to book her in quick as i am sure they will be very busy at this time of year
