Dribbling while purring.

OK so here's a strange one. My cat (blue eyed white) dribbles when she purrs. I mean she proper slobbers all over the place like a dog lol. I don't mind so much but she gets it all over my lap.

Anyone elses moggy do the same?

Re: Dribbling while purring.

My 3 don't, but my mother in law's cat does.

We looked after him when they went away last year and he managed to cut himself so had to go to the vets. He came back with a cone on and promptly settled on my lap acting all sorry for himself.

He then stood up...looked sweetly up at me...then promptly looked down and spilt a cone full of collected cold dribble on my jeans.

Re: Dribbling while purring.

Yes, my black cat dribbles when he's super happy. You can see when the drips start to form...so I put his tail under his mouth so his drool doesn't get on my clothes or bed. Yes, I'm evil, but Jazz-drool is a bit gross.

Re: Dribbling while purring.

My parents had a cat who dribbled all the time when he was happy. It would build up to a certain point and someone would announce, "He's going to shake!" Then we'd all dash to get some distance before dribble flew everywhere as he shook his head.

My previous cat Timmy used to dribble when he was happy, which was most of the time And especially when he was sitting on my lap, kneading and purring

Willow does too - but she has to be in that rub her head all over you, eyes closed utter bliss mood - then she shakes her head and I get covered!

Maudey dribbles whilst she purrs an it drips all down her legs and then she shakes her head and showers everything in drool

Re: Dribbling while purring.

My old cat Ashley used to dribble. We "trained her" to rub her face on her very own face cloth when it was cuddle time

Very cute..... actually it wasn't but she was my baby and she could drool if she wanted too.

Re: Dribbling while purring.

I also have a dribbler. She snuggles up on me and dribbles and kneads away. I keep a towel ready to put under her chin and she pulls it towards her and sucks on it.
