Lumps

While giving max a stroke i just found max seems to have a lump where his vaccination was given.... is this common/normal? I will ring my vets in the morning. pixie isnt lumpy.

Ooh interesting, is it about the size and texture of a baked bean? Thats the best way I can describe max's. it doesnt hurt him, iv been giving it a little prod and he is just purring away as usual.

Yeah it's about the size of a 5p but no bigger, moves about in every direction but only so far so must be attached. I never thought about his vaccination. Skye hasn't had hers yet so can't compare.

Same here with Susie! Its roughly at the site of the vaccination. My hubby just called me from upstairs to have a look. I'm pretty sure its nothing to worry about. They're going for their 2nd jab next week so I'll ask the vet then.

its nothing unusual to have a lump where the needle went in, it should go down after a while

Yes, fairly normal after any injection though of course if it persists then a vet check!

Thanks thats very reassuring. max is chipped but that was done at his first jab this has come up on his second. They are going in to be neutered in 2 weeks so will get them to look then. tho will still ring in the morning for advice.
