Spencer has a lump

Was just cuddling Spencer and found a small lump on his right side, about halfway up his ribs. I'd say it's no bigger than a 5p, not really squidgy and moves about. It is attached though as only moves so far in each direction. He doesn't seem bothered by it though. Should I be worried about it?

Re: Spencer has a lump

I'm sorry.. I have no answers but I would say get to the vet. My OH's dog had a lump on his bottom which he saught a second opinion on too. it's so hard cos they can't tell us what hurts etc.. There are a lot of non-worrying things it can be though

Re: Spencer has a lump

It seems like just a fatty lump. He's back at the vets on the 23rd but will phone tomorrow and see what they say.

Re: Spencer has a lump

From personal experience, ALWAYS get lumps checked out, and if they can't figure out what it is, keep pushing for them to come to a definitive diagnosis Good luck!

Re: Spencer has a lump

Hopefully the lump Spencer has is nothing serious. My Timmy (R.I.P) had a little lump on his side and the vet said it was just fatty tissue and nothing to worry about.

Fingers and paws crossed for you and Spencer xx

Re: Spencer has a lump

Get it checked out to be safe. I found a lump on abbeys side last week, took her to the vets on thursday and we have been told its a tumour. She is getting her op tomorrow and a biopsy to see how far advanced it is. Hope all is ok with your cat xx
