I have had the bitch of all days today:-(

I was woken up at 3am this morning to find that me and my o/h friend had passed so hubby got up and went round to his wife until the undertaker came he had liver cancer. I later on in the day took Tiga to the vet as I thought that his conjunctivitis had come back he was supposed to be having his booster but I had to ring the receptionist and ask her to change the computer to unwell as by the time it was almost time to go Tiga was also drooling, the vet says it is Torovirus and could take 6 to 8 weeks to get out of his system, I have never heard of this before and I have to say I am very worried, the vet has given him a long acting antibiotic injection and I have to watch him for the next 48 hour but if he is ok I have to take him back in 2 weeks for another injection. Has anyone had any experience with this virus I am so worried.

This may help it is just another name for it
3rdeyelidsyndrome

Says it last for 5 - 10 days like a common cold and they just need lots of water so nothing to worry about.

Thank you Merenwenrago I have just read your link and stored it on my iPad his eyes are watering and he is drooling and the vet said he has gingivitis too I cannot see anywhere where gingivitis is in the symptoms, although the vet said it is part and parcel of the virus I asked how he could have got it as he only goes out in my garden and he said it is airborne at this moment in time I really feel like I have some really bad karma around me and I would do no one any harm I help people I really feel low at the moment

Was just going to post the same link.GMTA .Sorry to read you are having a rough time of it at the moment. These sort of things always seem so much worse when you feel low to start with.It doesnt seem to be too bad an illness and hopefully will clear up quickly. Is it possible the gingivitis is not related and it is just "bad timing"that it is noticed at the same time.Hope things pick up for you,Sorry to read about your friend.

I'm so sorry to hear about your friend. I hope some comfort can be found in that he is now in peace.

I hope puss is on the mend soon. Thankfully he has an owner who got him checked quickly so I'm sure he'll be ok before too long

Thank you it is too late both of the other cats have been in contact with Tiga so I guess it is just wait and see and hope for the best.
