Little Joy had the same problem and had to scale the blanket/table cloths to get onto things.

The way she got on beds was to run and jump and cling to the sheet and then pull herself up.

Re: All the advice you can throw at me...

Just thought I'd give an update on his first night. I put him in the bathroom with some food and water, his toys and a big fluffy blanket because that's where the litter tray is and I didn't want to leave him unattended with the ratties just yet. And also I wanted to make sure Benji got my pillow all to himself as he is really unsettled and I wanted to give him lots of fuss.

As my kids get up and go to the toilet early in the morning, Figaro was trying to get up my stairs at 7am but was struggling bless him. I went down to tend to him and found the litter tray used (This is brilliant, i was worried he wouldn't know what it was all about) and he was all ready for a morning of scampering around I'm so pleased with how he's settled so far!

He likes my OH a lot

ETA: I got to bed 3am-4am so he wasn't on his own for long, just thought i should clear that up, I didn't abandon him for like, 8 hours!
