Dooley and Water

Hi Folks

My youngest, Dooley (male) is obssessed with water

When i put water down for them within an hour he has emptied the dish by getting in it and scraping and playing with the water and then dissapears

I feel so bad for Milo who then has no water

any ideas

P.S i half filled the basin last night so milo coudl at least drink from that but Dafty managed to get up and in to the basin and i caught him, oh my god i was in hysterics- i got "the cat look" and he just carried on and was loving it, it was hilarious he was loving it

Re: Dooley and Water

My dogs have water available all the time. Do you only offer it occasionally?

Ferplast Pet Food Dispenser Zenith Gravity Feeder

would something like this help? I believe they can be used with water as well as dry food.

Re: Dooley and Water

I don't know if your cats have access to your bathroom at all but if they do then maybe you could try putting a bowl under a just dripping tap (ie the shower or bath where an overflowing bowl isn't a problem) - that way even if one plays in the water, there will be fresh water going into the bowl for the other (albeit with copious amounts of cat hair in it).
