Adult or Kitten food??

Pixie is on Nature's Menu (all of my cats are) and she keeps eating Salem's food (he is on Kitten) and won't touch hers (adult) the vet told me as she isn't nursing she can go onto adult food, would it do any harm her having the kitten food and not adult? I put the adult food out for her and she just leaves it and will go to the biscuits (royal canin kitten 36) and the wet goes untouched.

Re: Adult or Kitten food??

There's no need to feed kitten food to any cat/kitten hun. Good quality wet food is perfectly OK for all Maybe removing the dry food all together will encourage her to eat wet instead.

Yeah so do I
I hate feeling so heartbroken, but at the same time I would feel awful if I actually had a smile, as if I was forgetting Gloworm, I honestly have no idea how to feel

Re: Adult or Kitten food??

Things will feel better one day but at the moment, it's very raw and will undoubtedly feel like the worst thing in the world... and rightly so. You need time to grieve for your wee boy and there will come a day when you can smile again at the memories of him, but at the moment, that isn't possible. It's a horrible time to get through, that period of grief. I suffered a great loss in April this year and it's only just now that I'm getting back on my feet again. Give it time and you will smile again. I promise. xxxx

Don't ever feel bad about smiling - finding joy in something in no way means you loved Gloworm any less, and you'll never forget him. Everything you've written about him on these forums tells me, and everyone else just how much he was loved and cared for, and no-one doubts it for a second.

We all grieve in our own ways, and there is no right or wrong way - what you are feeling is perfectly ok - do what ever you think will help you through this time, and know that eventually you'll be able to remember the happy memories, without the overwhelming sadness, even if right now everything is too raw for that to be the case.
