Smile Genius or total idiot?

Jaffe is the funniest kitten I have ever met but cannot decide if he is a genius or a complete plum! I was so proud of him this morning as he has mastered playing fetch (including bringing it back) with no training what so ever! We played for a good half hour and he was having a whale of a time. I was thinking "what a clever little kitty I wonder if i can teach him anything else?". After he got bored of playing fetch he got up on the bed and at a rate of knots started chasing his tail till he was dizzy, fell over and when he finally caught his tail started biting it really hard and kicking himself in the head at the same time! I was in hysterics I have never seen a kitten/cat ever act so clownish and idiotic. I thought I would share this as I thought it may amuse others and you can comment on what you all think and share stories.

Re: Genius or total idiot?

This made me lol! What a clever boy learning fetch, neither of my two do that! As for the tail chasing & kicking himself in the head, Mini does that, sometimes biting her own tail so hard that she growls at herself (muppet)

merlin12 is on a distinguished road
Re: Genius or total idiot?

Merlin is so lazy, I donīt think he would learn fetch, Iīd have to go for the toy myself.

Re: Genius or total idiot?

HAHAHA. He has not bitten himself that hard just yet but he is getting stronger so it's only a matter of time ! The first few times i threw his ball for him he just looked up at me as if to say "what did you do that for! You go get it!" After that he would chase it but would then run off with it under the bed to play on his own. It's only been in the last couple of days he has brought his ball up onto the bed or sofa and I have throw it for him and and he has brought it back and thrown it for him again and it was like "ah i see why didn't you say that that's what you wanted me to do!? I love this game!" and has carried on doing it. Silly baby. He does make me laugh! I have ordered a clicker and a cat training book so I can see if there are any other tricks I can teach him. Shame that I couldn't teach him to do the washing up
