OMG ..OKO is amazing

Ok so I bought a bag of OKO and used it.. cats loved it. its soft on their paws and easy to scoop and Dispose of the waste and it smells fresh and clean. All was great until 2 weeks down the line I felt it needed a fresh lot So I binned the old stuff and washed the tray awaiting hubbys return with my bag of oko from PAH. Only he didnt get oko.. He got some clay clumping stuff coz its cheaper (!!) and OMG! The stench!!! after only 2 days (and I remove wets and solids 2x a day) the kitchen was honking of a rancid earthy poey uriney cocktail! I made him go back and buy me a bag of OKO this morning, the kitchen is fresh again

I will never stray again.. OKO IS THE KING OF LITTER!

Re: OMG ..OKO is amazing

I was OKO-less for about 10 days and had to use Sainsbury's Ultra Clumping. It was not good!

I was v pleased to get OKO again. It makes such a difference. No smelly litter tray ever.

I switched over to OKO a couple of weeks ago and there's no going back for me either! It does seem more expensive when you first buy it, but it lasts so much longer, so I'm sure must work out cheaper in the long run!

I've just ordered a great big sack (40L ) from Zooplus, but I noticed earlier on that Pets at Home are selling the 10L size on 3 for 2, online orders only. Might be worth stocking up - quite a good deal

Re: OMG ..OKO is amazing

I've had my first experience of OKO today. At first glance I thought it was another weird runny poop in the tray but then noticed it was a gel clump. Weird, but brilliant. One flush down toilet and a rake over and all is well.
Kitchen reeks still though as he's a tomcat and I cannot open windows and doors as he has to stay inside.

Have you got anywhere that would be safe to burn a scented candle where neither Tigger nor son can get to it? Burning candles - even ordinary ones - are supposed to be good at getting rid of odours.

Re: OMG ..OKO is amazing

My OKO arrived today and my female kitten was like WTF is this?? She didn't like it at all and I had to watch her like a hawk squatting near the tray and all around the conservatory and after several hours of not going she finally sucummed to the new litter - bliss! It's weird stuff like sawdust but kind of squishy - very strange and it clumps into balls .

Its great. Comes from Germany though so I might ask my parents to pick me up some on their travels next week. Got to be cheaper that way

The cats haven't pooed yet so don't know what that'll smell like.

Do you mean like a Yankee type candle? Or a specific pet odour one? Yes I have safe spots
