Skye sneezed something out her nose?

Then ate it?! She was sort of sneezing/snorting like she had something stuck and then she sneezed and out it came. I never got a chance to get a proper look but it looked like a bit of food?

Re: Skye sneezed something out her nose?

I don't think its unusual for cats to get bits of food up their nose especially when they're pigging out, they seem to stick their face in it and keep breathing . I used to sprinkle crushed up treats on my cats food to entice her to eat it and she would go mad for it but in her enthusiasm she was often getting bits stuck up her nose and sneezing them out whilst continuing to eat at the same time.

Re: Skye sneezed something out her nose?

Oh that's good! I thought I had better check what with her funny breathing when I first got her last week. I think it was before she had her breakfast though? Although I just leave their food down as they don't usually eat it all at once so she could have been pigging out on left overs this morning before I went in.

Whoever came up with the myth that cats are elegant, graceful and dignified...

Re: Skye sneezed something out her nose?

Dont even get me started on kitten bogies

Tabitha walks like a bloodhound her nose to the floor sniffing away. Which results in me having to pull dust bunnies out of her nose

Delightful

I'd certainly have the breathing checked out by the vet though. How often do you notice this? Is it after play or just during normal activity?

Never had that with my cats but also heard that some worms can get up their nose.

But since you say it is food it is perfectly fine then

It's more when she's eating - she seems like she's snorting like she can't breathe through her nose. After this morning it is maybe due to food stuck up there they have vets on friday morning for vaccs and will be mentioning it then.

I did wonder but surely she wouldn't eat a worm?
