Thanks for that! I did a bit of research last night, including reading a few academic journals from US veterinarians, and I feel better about early neutering now. I'll speak to my vet tonight about having them fixed at 4-4½ months (they're going in for their second round of vaccinations). If my vet won't do it, I'll take them to someone who will (my vet couldn't refuse to do it on grounds of weight because my greedy little b*ggers have gained a little over 600g in the last 3 weeks  ).

Both were neutered on Nov. 9th and both are indoor cats
