Which insurers include dental and what does it cover? Looking for a lifetime policy....

That's what I thought...I've taken out Argos and it includes dental but only if it's caused through an accident.

Cant swear to it but I believe Pet Plan does on dogs anway, on condition that you have the dogs teeth visually checked every year with their yearly check up. You would have to double check me though!! a] Ive got it right and
b] it refers to cats too. I know a lot cover just for accident or injury dental work, but as I say I think pet plan cover more.

Vets Medicover do dental cover providing;

1. During the cats annual check up, their teeth are checked too
2. That you carry out any recommended procedures that your vet advises.

They are £14 per cat per month and cover £10,000 of vets fees per year.

Do you think it's a necessity to have dental? As a lot of them don't seem to cover it?

Pet Plan life cover does as long as teeth are checked at yearly vet check.It isnt "necessary" but the cost of dentals is fairly pricey and will cover accident and/or disease.I've yet to have a cat which hasnt needed some dental work done,mind you all have lived to a fair age 15+.

Personal choice but I would preferr disease to injury as my cats have always been indoor and none of their treatment has been injury related.Gum disease,tooth decay ect is IMO more likely to be a cause for dental work being required.
