Where does your cat sleep at night-time?
When you go to bed, where does your cat go?
Does he go to bed with you or does he have a special room which you put him in and he has to stay there until morning? Also, if you have a totally indoor cat, when you need to leave the house, what happens then. Like if you need to set your burglar alarm, do you have to keep shutting your cat away each time you go out? |

Quote:
Mine start the night with me but quite often Bobs will start miaowing and being a pain so they'll end up downstairs if they dont they stay with me I bring a litter tray up with me. During the day they get shut in 3 rooms downstairs if I'm out. They did have the run of the house but Boo decided to scratch the wallpaper in the kitchen and there's no other way of sealing taht off. |

Re: Where does your cat sleep at night-time?
Hi, Maisie is an idoor cat, at night she gets locked in the kitchen/ conservatory we usually find her sleeping on the sofa or curled up with Holly our dog in her bed.
When we go out it's the same senarios, shut in the conserv, unless she's sleeping upstairs then we just leave her where she is ![]() |

Re: Where does your cat sleep at night-time?
Molly comes to bed with us. She settles in between us until you can hear her snore
She then suddenly jumps up and settles herself by the bedroom door ..... if one of us has to get up in the night and she wakes up, we have to go through the same routine again!!When we go out, she has free reign of the flat, so sleeps where she likes

Re: Where does your cat sleep at night-time?
At the moment Fluffy our 2 year old cat sleeps at the foot of our bed and the kittens are locked in the conservatory because they need the cat litter tray. Fluffy has free reign and can go out through the cat flap if she feels like it.
My old cat Buster used to come to bed with us and sleep between hubby and I with his head on the pillow purring the night away. I still miss that. |

Re: Where does your cat sleep at night-time?
They all used to sleep on my bed at night, I'd often wake scrunched up in a corner while they were all comfortably sprawled out, but since fitting a flap to the living room door they tend to sleep downstairs...........if they're in at all.
That said, I woke today precariously balanced right on the edge of the bed with a cat curled up bang in the middle. Bad enough if it had been one of mine, but it was Dexter, a regular visitor from next door who often sleeps here if there's nobody up at home to let him in at night. Ian

Re: Where does your cat sleep at night-time?
Mine get shut out of the sitting room and dining room because there are breakables in them and my two can't be trusted so that's overnight and if we go out, our night time routine is switching telly off, telling them it's bedtime, I toddle off to the bathroom and when I emerge they are sat in the kitchen waiting for their bedtime treats, close doors then they usually have a little bounce about then Monty gets in his hammock on the cat tree and Maudey will sleep drape across my feet or legs and if it gets cold she sleep under the duvet in the crook of my knees.
