Cat licking/chewing paw -- Ideas?

Heyyas,

So, the past few days, I've noticed Ki has been excessively grooming one of her front paws. She has her claws, they've been trimmed recently, and her pads /toes/fur between her pads all look fine. She even smells fine.

So, any other things I should be looking for? The fur between the pads are damp from her licking/chewing.

Once my dog had a splinter that was mega hard to find, it had missed his pad and gone in right against it so it was hard to feel it. Maybe she has a splinter or something lodged right up tight against the side of a pad? Poor kitty, hope she is ok soon x

Re: Cat licking/chewing paw -- Ideas?

hmm, we do have hard word floors...

Or it could be that a crumb or something got in there. I haven't noticed it today. It hasn't affected her tearing around the house, but she will lie down and gnaw at it for a while, which is kinda cute, but seemed to be getting excessive.

Thank you!
