Cat bringing in mice
Does anyone else's cat bring in mice, my 5 year old has only just started doing it since we have had a new kitten, but it is getting to be everyday now.
We were just watching tv and my husband looked out the hallway and screamed she has got a mouse!! To which we all jumped up and there she was swinging it by it's tail, the poor mouse was still very much alive, she was growling at my husband when he tried to take it off her. Then she let it go and it was running around our kitchen, i had to catch it with gloves on and a fishing net. We put it over the garden wall bless. The thing is we didn't even see her bring it in and she has been in hours, so she must of brought it in and forgot about it. God knows where that mouse has been in our house!! ![]() ![]() Is there anything i can do to stop her, how does everyone else cope with this behaviour? We have had many a dead mouse but never had a live one running round our house. ![]() |

Re: Cat bringing in mice
its a natural behaviour so we all basically have to lump it or have indoor cats. some people have tried to get the behaviour out of them but they go very mentally ill.

I know it is normal cat behaviour but it was not nice trying to save this poor mouse from a slow death, but thankfully i did, not sure if it was injured though. ![]() |
