Just got back from the vets with Bob and Betty my two stray foster cats ...

Bob has been neutered much to his disgust and is very put out about it, but seems okay.

Betty however really has been through the wars ... She has had a closed wound since I took over her care which occasionally oozed but nothing to make me think go to a vet (I just bathed it myself with saline) ... but today when she went in for her spay they looked at the wound. They decided to make an incision and found a 1 1/2 inch deep wound full of yukky stuff ... so have flushed it all out and given antibiotics and left an open wound in the hope that it will heal if not she will have to have a debridement. Then just to add insult to injury on her other side she has her spay wound and stitches, along with a buster collar ... poor kitty .... say some prayers for her to have a speedy recovery.

Oh, poor little sausages At least they've got you, so no prayers needed

Thank you ... will give her some more food a bit later on ...

The buster collar is really stressing her out ... I don't want her to chew her wound though ... hopefully she'll get used to it.
