Can you change a kittens name?

I don't particularly like the names of the 4 month old kittens I'm getting, well it's not that I don't like them but I'd prefer different ones. Is it possible to change them since they are still so young?

Re: Can you change a kittens name?

Are these registered pedigree names? if so you can't change them but you can call your kittens by whatever name you choose at home. Even if they are used to being called something else they will soon get used to a new name

No no, just their names. They are called Mickey and Minnie but I'd prefer different ones. Will they adapt to a different name quite easily? What's the best way to teach them their names?

I don't know what Lillie's name was as she was picked up as a stray - as I was there the day she was brought in and I knew as soon as I saw her she was meant to be mine I chose her name at the rescue. I found the best way to get Lil to respond to her name was to rattle the treat packet and call her name - then treat when she came to me. She was soon coming to either her name or the treat packet. Lillie is about 8 and this worked well for her.
