Re: Fostering

Good luck hun!

Its great, rewarding, fullfilling, heartbreaking, exhausting, worthwhile and aload more to boot!

And its completely natural to want to keep them all, and there will be the ones that capture your heart more than the others, you just have to remember that for every goodbye there will be a new hello that needs your help x

I have a 3 bedroom house and a living room and then a kitchen dinner, my house is not big but I still manage to foster kittens. I rarely put them in a bedroom they are in a kitten cage in the front room when sleeping and out when they are awake. As long as you have time to give the fosters it doesnt really matter how much room you have.... go for it

OP good luck it is great fun fostering .... do you know if you will be fostering any age or only kittens (I can only do kittens due to my older cat not likeing 'big cats in her space') ? It is hard to say good bye and I often want to shed an odd tear (I must admit I am a failed fosterer and gave in to one kitten ) BUT if you didnt give them to their forever homes you wouldnt be able to help the next lot of cats/kittens needing a foster home!! Keep this in mind and you will be fine

Hi ya

I am looking forward to it, i have said i will do any age. I am just waiting to have interviews now. A lady form a rescue is coming to see me next week and then somebody else at the end of September as i am way for 2 weeks from the 9th September so it will be best to start after i get back, even though i want one now to look after

Im hoping that we will eventually foster one who will be a "mans" cat and my OH will fall in love with it and not want to let it go
