Lack of poo - should I be worried?

If your cat had not pooed, how long would you leave it before getting worried and going to the vet?

Lillie seems fine, eating and drinking like normal, but this is the third morning I have woken up to no poo. I have checked with Chris incase he has scooped before I got there at any point and he cant remember her having done anything either.

I was beginning to worry when I went to bed last night and she still hadn't been but am now even more concerned.

I believe you should be phoneing your vet and discuss your concerns with them. Good luck

yeah call your vet just to ask. . . they might want to see your furbaby and have a feel of her tummy.. . is it possible she's doing it somewhere else?

Re: Lack of poo - should I be worried?

It depends what you are feeding them - if they are solely raw then 3 days without a poop isn't unusual - anything else and you need to see a vets.

Re: Lack of poo - should I be worried?

We have (a rather large) poop!!

Called the vet to ask and just as they picked up the phone she went in to the tray

Vet nurse just said that if it happens again then to give them a call as the poo was nice and normal looking with a normal consistency, she said 3 days is not too long especially as she is on a slightly reduced diet at the moment.

Thank you for your replies.

Interesting about the raw thing - I have noticed the quantity and frequency of poo has decreased since I switched from felix/RC to smilla plus it smells better (plus her coat is softer and shiner and she is livelier )
