Unhappy Oh for goodness sake

So, the kittens I mentioned from my boyfriend's dad's customer...just messaged the woman after finding her on facebook, saving customer asking her then telling Dave's dad to tell Dave or me. I asked for some info on them, she replied saying they will be ready on 12th september when they will be 7 weeks I can't be bothered to get into the "9-12" week thing with her so looks like I'm on the hunt for kittens...again!

Oh and the woman I mentioned last night who was rehoming 2 kitties due to her son's asthma hasn't bothered replying to me today after agreeing for me to let her know this morning!!

I did, but they seem to think my dog will be too excitable for a kitten

Are the original 2 that you were getting from a rescue no longer available.

Such a shame. I do think rescue centres turn people away that would be wonderful homes for animals.

I'm possibly looking after my friend's cats in a couple of weeks and not 100% sure of timescale and didn't think it would be fair on them. I said I would still take them if she still had them when my friend's cats went back but she did say she had someone else interested in them.

Everything just keeps going wrong..wish people understood how to look after kittens properly

Yes before we got Cleo from the RSPCA, we went to another rescue. It has a number of cats that have been there six or seven months. all craving attention and a home. I bonded with one and applied but missed out as she had two potential homes. At the time, getting a third cat was about her as we fell for her rather than any cat. Anyway her homes "fell through" so we applied again. We were turned down for not having a cat flap.

Now the two cats I have I prefer them to be in when I am out and I do not want them out at night. When I have had a cat flap before if I chose to lock it, I found it caused my previous cats stress. So for my current cats I just haven't wanted a cat flap. However our cats cannot be more loved but we were turned down flat, without even a home check. Just turned down for ticking the box "no on "willing to install a catflap"

What made us more angry was this cat was an indoor cat and their website says she would need slow introduction to the outside world???

Now it meant that we ended up with Cleo as we decided we could offer another rescue cat a home and I would not be without her. But I still feel sad that the other cat is in her pen. That is she potential homes that have fallen through.

All we were told is "That's out policy"

Try another rescue xxx As you will see from my experience some have different less intense rules!

It's such a shame I emailed the local ones and never got a reply from any except the one that said Benny might be too excitable for a kitten, will try again though

Re: Oh for goodness sake

Yeah when we considered a pup as a friend for our dalmatian we knew we would be turned away.
Our fence is 4 foot, can be raised to 5 foot but not the required 6 foot due to being a corner house and the landlords not allowing it.
Our son is tiny and looks like he is 1 yet he is 3. When i tell people he is 3 they tell me i am lying.

I am at home all day, used to walk pongo before he died (still walk Penny Pancake tho) have amazing beaches and countryside.
My kids respect animals so much its unreal.

They should look at everyone as indiviuals and not box ticking capabilities.
I was watching The Wright Stuff Extra the other week and their resident vet made his pregnant wife wear a long thick coat to disguise her pregnancy so they could get a puppy.

So sorry Kaz hopefully you will get your kittens soon. Seems such a waste
