Where do you keep/store your cat toys?

Probably another stunningly obvious question from me, but where do you keep cat toys? At the moment all of mine are just....strewn around the house...apart from a battery powered one, the laser pen and the dangle toys...is this bad though? If they are out all the time will my cat get bored of seeing the same things? Do you keep them somewhere the cat has access to? Which toys do you leave out when you're out?

Re: Where do you keep/store your cat toys?

Mine's everywhere too. Some are on the windowsill. Some are on the coffee table. Some on the floor. Some dangling from his cat tree. Some in a cupboard that has the vacuum cleaner. Oops.

I'm going to try to keep them all on a large zooplus box that's supposed to be his makeshift toybox, but OH keeps chucking random stuff into it like it's a bin! GRR.

I tend to leave out his Kickeroo and his toy mouse or rotate one of them with a sock filled with catnip. Definitely no access to pole danglers or anything pointy he can injure himself with unless under my supervision.

Re: Where do you keep/store your cat toys?

The Catit track, a tunnel and an orange cube are left out along with random mice which can be found all over the house Da Bird is kept in the hall cupboard. Other toys are in a wicker cat bed that has never been used as a cat bed and the girls can get them out if they want but never seem bothered. I also have a bedroom drawer with bits and pieces that I collect up for making up kitten packs - both of the girls are very interested when I open that drawer

All over the floor!!!!

If I put them away in the basket, they don't get played with. If I leave them out, they ARE played with......

Anyone viviting would think I had three kids, not three CATS!!!!!!!

I have them all over the floor in the lounge or in my room. The catnip spray and other things I keep in a cupboard in a box unless I am using it.

Toys that Alfie is only allowed when we are about are kept in a drawer. He has his cube and catit track out all the time and the rest live in a toy box on the floor... which Alfie will go to and help himself to whatever toy he wants to play with. Bless his little paws

Re: Where do you keep/store your cat toys?

Bl**dy everywhere!!!

I've often thought 'Oh, I'll use this bin to store them in..' and then never do, because one of two things will happen:

A) They'll never get used again, or
B) They'll just be dragged back out constantly.

So I don't really see the point, I'd rather they played with what they want and have a messy house

Saying that though, Aurelia's valerian kicker is kept away for special occasions.. Along with the towel it's wrapped in that Schrodinger gets far too excited about!

Re: Where do you keep/store your cat toys?

I'm so glad I'm not the only one with toys everywhere! I tried to tidy them into one spot for the parentals visit (you know, the one that went sooo well, the one where the cat peed on their bed!!) and it is back to cat city...every room except the kitchen and bathroom has something cat related in it!

Re: Where do you keep/store your cat toys?

Erm, well I have a toy box with some of the bigger toys in it, and it may or my not be kept in my new sideboard that has exclusively cat stuff in it

That includes things like litter locker refills and um...oh who am I kidding, its pretty much all toys lol

My cats don't like their toys put away. They prefer them also to strewen over the house. well I say "they" - I mean Archie!
