The hall, the lounge, the kitchen, the landing. The only ones put away are those I think they need supervising with and those are in the same cupboard I keep their food in.

Mine too. Moriarty leaves it be but Tabitha has figured out how to get things out of it Most of the toys are just everywhere. I tidy them away a lot but Tabitha waits for me to sit down then gets them all back out again.

"Mummy why did you do that!!!! I had them all organised"

Bless her.

Re: Where do you keep/store your cat toys?

I would like to say that all the toys are tidied away on a night time into a 'special' toy box - but am afraid that doesn't seem to happen in my house.

This is more like it - toys everywhere - on the stairs, in the kitchen - absolutely everywhere.

I was told that it is best to rotate the toys. If you have every single toy you own out, then the kitten will get used to seeing it and, for this reason, it is not something special.

So, what I have started doing, is to side a few toys away for a week, then side the ones away they have just been playing with, and get the other ones out - rotate is what I am trying to say. This way, they think that new toys have suddenly appeared and are v. excited.

Re: Where do you keep/store your cat toys?

Molly's bigger toy's are out on the living floor 24/7. She has a toy box for all her other toys, which I empty onto the floor when I go to work. I put them away again before we go to bed, but the box is left out so if she want's to get something out she can

I do think she has more fun with the actual toy box though, it's normally in another room when we get home!!

Re: Where do you keep/store your cat toys?

We have a large "Really Useful Box" (that's the brand name) from Tesco and we keep all of their toys in there, with the exception of a few balls and mice which we leave out, and then rotate so they think they've got something new. If we leave their toys out all the time they get bored very quickly.

They will come and stand on the arm of the sofa behind the cupboard where it's stored, and miaow at me when they hear the sound of the clips on the side of the box being opened. We have a smaller version of the box to store their treats and that one gets the same reaction. They love that sound as it means fun or food!

In a wicker basket in the lounge. I try to rotate the toys. However, Flea knows how to knock over the basket to get extra toys.
