I'm with EAC; I think it's the warmth.

My kittens, however, seem to enjoy plonking themselves on my desktop keyboard too. Usually, after swatting at all the moving things on the screen for a few minutes lol.

Ours do that too and my partner has often left the room then come back to find multiple browser tabs open and various sites loaded.

We also left them with the remote control once and they recorded 2 hours' worth of BBC Breakfast.

Sam likes to sit on anything that's taking your attention. Laptops, magazines, books ..... When I used a desktop, I had a big desk with space between the monitor and keyboard where he could sleep. He loved it because he could lie with me while I worked, and get lots of fuss and kisses.
