Lump on my kittens face

My kitten after going outside has suddenly got a medium size lump on the right side of his face just below his jawline. It doesnt seem to be bothering him when i touch it, im not sure if a bee or wasp or something else may have stung him. I can't see any signs of a sting there, can anyone help me out with some advice please?

Re: Lump on my kittens face

Poor thing, Sorry I can't help much - maybe call the vets and ask them if they think its worth a look? Although it doesn't seem to be bothering him just make sure he is still up for playing and eating etc just in case he is hiding how he really feels, but its probably good news that he doesn't mind you checking it.

Any sign of swelling, puss or redness? wild guess but can be a tumour if it isn't a sting or bite.

So for tumours/bites a vet visit asap is vital, since fast treatment is better.

Not sure if it warrants a vet visit or not,but a call for advice may be a good thing. If it is a sting it may start to swell and being in /around his mouth may cause a problem with breathing/swallowing.

Thankyou very much for your help. He is still full of beans running around playing, and his apetite most certainly hasn't gone..

Could be a bump where he has hit himself on something? It happens to people so why not cats I guess?

Yeah thats true, im going to give it a couple of days and if the lump doesn't seem to be going down i think i'll have to take him to the vets to get checked out.

Re: Lump on my kittens face

My boy has a lump on his rump, vet has seen it and says it is nothing to worry about and to leave it be unless it bothers him, but it is always best to get an expert opinion, if nothing else it puts your mind at rest. Hope it turns out to be harmless
