Sorry, but i need to vent

Next door are the most hypocritical mentalists around here but the thing that is really P'ing me off is their daughters dog..... (I don't know its name but I call it F*ckhead)

Hypocritical incidents #1
The back story is we live back from the main road on a lane, between our lane and road is a green and some trees. If anyone parks on the grass, next door goes mental at them, and leaves notes that 'its not a effin car park' on their cars signing the note as being from OUR house as well as theirs!! Now I don't have a problem with people parking on there purely because of the cars I see on there, about 95% of the time is visitors to their house!! (Like its ok for them but no-one else - argh)

Hypocritical Incidents #2
She has told me previously about complaining about people who lived here before us about their music being loud, but they seem to think its ok to shut F*ckhead outside at 6am, so instead of waiting for him to do his stuff and getting him back in, he barks at the door. YAPYAPYAPYAPYAPYAPYAPYAPYAP etc etc etc til they get him back in 15mins later.
They also do this if they are sick of him barking - one night from 9.10- 11.10 YAPYAPYAP. They also cut and strim the grass at 8am on sunday mornings.

Hypocritical incidents #3
Despite having letters from the council asking residents not to dump garden waste on the green out the front they regularly trot over to dump theirs.

The thing that tips me over the edge....
F*ckhead is jumping over the fence that is deep inside our bordering bushes and shrubs. He is chasing local cats and squirrels straight through my garden, and today I got home on lunch to find my house cat nervously sat in our house, whilst F*ckhead could see her through the window and was barking at her. I have made an outdoor run for Tillie and she never goes out without supervision but I reckon he'd go for her and try to get at her. I'm not going to have her terrorised in her own house so I'm buying some netting to try and block off his access point - but joy oh joy, I've got to crawl under this massive shrub, through F*ckhead poo on MY lawn to do so.

I haven't said anything to next door as they LOVE an argument, I have seen her ranting at three tree surgeons or diverting traffic down our road for an hour while they took a dangerous tree down off the main road, I've seen her yelling at local councillors, and seen her ranting and raving about a proposed building development further down the main road - for retirement houses to replace the waste ground and derelict buildings currently there (but she wants to do 'garden grabbing' and stick four houses at the top of our gardens)
I reckon they would make our lives hell as they think they own the place round here and can do what they like so If this chicken wire fails I'm afraid I may have to have a showdown. Plus I don't think they would care, as they were p!ssed off at me and my mom for yelling at F*ckhead to get down when he was jumping up us covering us in dirt on MY doorstep on Mothers Day whilst they just stoop there and let him do it!!! On MY frikkin house!!!

Sorry I just needed to rant, especially after I saw that little sh!t barking at my precious Tillie from my garden where he shouldn't be!!! Argh!

Report the bee-atch to the local Dog Warden for having a dog that is out of control. It should NOT be running loose in this manner and as the 'thing' in question doesn't feel inclined to administer any type of control of it, you have to report her.

Quite frankly, if some mutt was terrorising my cat, the owner would be getting a serious case of 'what-for' from me.

Re: Sorry, but i need to vent

I am sorry for ranting but 'Cat Chat'ers are the only people I can think of who would understand!!! Its not the dogs fault it is theirs but they are so arrogant, and i'm scared of confronting them in case it escalates the problem.

I was reading up on what to do and apparently Dog Wardens don't do a lot if its about private land

Thanks for being mad too MoggyBaby - at least I know its not just me!!!

Etienne - they are bigger, scarier, and more uncouth than me - dread to think what their reaction would be, I'm sure there would repercussions.

Re: Sorry, but i need to vent

I do feel sorry for you as it sounds like you have horrible neighbours there, but im afraid at some time you will have to speak to them over the problem, tell them that you intend to put up a fence to keep their dog from terrorising your cat on your property, if the fence gets damaged by there dog then they have to pay for this, i understand your worried that confronting them may make things worse but you need to stand up to them and dont let them walk over you, they sound as if they are right bullies.

Re: Sorry, but i need to vent

When you aproach them stay clam and explain everything to them , then if they show the slightest sign of aggression i would call the police , at the end of the day its their dog that is causing the problem and the dog is their responsibility and they are answerable for any wrongs the dog may do..good luck ........Chris.

Re: Sorry, but i need to vent

Oh I'm so sorry, I hate conflict with the neighbours! And a friend of mine is having to move house to get her kitty away from a dangerous dog. I know it is scary, why is it seems to be so hard to just live quietly in our own homes?! This weekend a neighbour had a go at my parents for parking outside their house overnight. There is only one space outside ours...and they have a drive which wasn't blocked...but apparently we should have asked to park on the street outside their house?! My parents didn't seem to care but I have to live on a street with this woman! Grrr.

Re: Sorry, but i need to vent

An Ex friend of mine used to yell/scream/threaten anyone who parked on the road outside their house. I was so pleased when their car got keyed by one of their victims

Re: Sorry, but i need to vent

Tricky situation there, I feel very sorry for the stress that it is causing your cat and you. But please, it's not the poor dog's fault. He's only doing what comes naturally to him and what he's been allowed to do. With more loving and caring owners he could be a much nicer and happier dog, you never know. Please don't call him F**khead, he doesn't deserve it. Of course you are frustrated, but it's the owners, not the dog.
