I would have the vet at my house if this was the case. Or I would be ringing around people to take my cat to the vet for me.

I agree with the others. Please phone a vet now and get him seen to. Better to be safe than sorry.

have you rung your vets to see if they do house calls. It's an emergency.

I was really ill and got my cat to the vet. Do you not have a friend who could take him for you?

Sorry if you don't find it supportive but the cat is suffering from what you've said this is very serious.

Re: help my cat is poorly

If u really have no option then make sure the cat is in a warm place away from where he could come to further harm. Make sure you offer him water and see if he will drink and perhaps bring him some food.

Let us know how he gets on tomorrow.

and i hope your little ones get well soon furry and human.

Kizzy-there's absolutely nothing any of us can do here except stress how important is it your cat sees a vet asap. I, for one feel you may lose your cat if you wait any longer. Furthermore it sounds as if he's in pain owing to whatever occurred yesterday.

I would call the emergency vets and explain the situation.

Sorry if you feel that you have not been given "supportive" answers but you wanted advice, you have been given our advice.Your cat needs to be seen by a vet,and should have been seen hours ago..There is nothing else we can say ,only a vet can help and that help needs to be sought now,not tomorrow.

Re: help my cat is poorly

If you have posted here then you know it is serious .

Should be the petforums tagline!

At any rate, I was REALLY lucky with my cat, but honestly it can be anything from "this" to "that" and posting here isn't going to change the outcome of that.

Delaying could change the overall outcome though. I do sympathise that you had difficulty getting to see an emergency vet ... That time myself I couldn't afford it and had to borrow the £100 from my parents. But that £100 probably saved me money in the long run.. The delay is what could be costly not only on your pocket but for your cat .

I don't think anyone is being mean or doubting you though. We just know you need to see someone.

Re: help my cat is poorly

The obvious answer to this is to ring the vet up and tell him that your cat needs to be seen asap, then ring the local Taxi firm and ask them to collect your cat and take it to the vet.
They will do this for you providing you have the carrier for the cat.
Being a Taxi driver myself we do all sorts of work and we are there to help people when they cannot get from A to B.

If this was a child I am sure you would not left them in agony all Day.
