Re: My anger is building.. Don't think I can bite my lip

None of them were vet checked as far as I am aware.

As our litter was a week younger than hers, we handled ours as much as Slinky would let us. Which at first was nothing, but then by the time they were 3 weeks old they were sleeping on our laps and I even carried some around in my baby sling! They were eating fantastic and off mum by 6 weeks, walking around by 4 weeks, doing everything as expected. When people came to view them they literally ran at the door and started jumping over everyone and licking their toes.

We didn't do much with them really apart from interact with them, and Pickles last litter, none of them were very friendly so it says to me that they just let their cat out and get pregnant and do naff all with the kittens. Why.. I don't know.. I'm baffled

It's not that hard to do, spend 5 minutes a day playing and stroking them! Sheeesh!

Deepest apologies.

No matter what I compared these dead-beat morons, with their shoe-size IQ's to, it would still be an insult.

After all, if both Jordan & Wayne Rooney are allowed to breed, there really IS no hope for the future of civilisation......

Re: My anger is building.. Don't think I can bite my lip

I can't understand these people... I was thinking about getting a pedigree kitten when I move into my new place but I've now decided to get 2 little moggy rescues when the time comes as my local rescue place which is run by volunteers and focuses on trapping and neutering are over run with cats.

They've just got a litter of kittens that are now about 8 weeks who are obviously not stray kittens but someone has dumped them - probably because they've cost too much to raise. Makes me sick. Humans are awful sometimes. I would say try to educate them but that just means they get defensive as they feel bad but have to justify their actions.

Also when did it become the norm to sell moggy babies for £50???? Not that moggies aren't worth the earth to those who own them (including me!) I know cat rescues can ask for a hefty donation but that's to run something that's not usually able to fund itself... and rightly so as normally they have to clear up someone else's mess.

Our's are being sold for 50.00 per kitten, but they will be fully vacc, spayed/neutured and microchipped.

That poor cat, it's so devastating when you see cats and dogs being used as a breeding machine, my cousins dog has just had 11 pups, and this is her forth litter (first with my cousin) her first was 10, second was 8, and third was 10, and shes only 3 years old!

See now that's why I would see them being £50 as you've done everything that's required, as most rescues would too... but just a moggy kitten with possibly no vaccs etc.... seems unwarranted and just a money making idea which is pointless and unfair to the poor cat!

Because people like her are completely ignorant of how to treat their pets. And, they continue to get away with it because there are no laws preventing this 'abuse' of animals. Why???

Re: My anger is building.. Don't think I can bite my lip

Something has to be said. Poor kitties would be constantly pregnant if people like her don't have some sense knocked into them. I just feel so bad for the cats when I hear stories like this.... Ignorant humans allowing litters and litters of kittens to be born when there's already TOO MANY stray / homeless cats out there.

Re: My anger is building.. Don't think I can bite my lip

It's so difficult when it's friends or family, you are itching to say something. A friend of mine posted on Facebook a few weeks ago that her sister had some new kittens ready to go to a new home. When someone replied saying that they were interested in taking one the comment came back that her sister had "let them go to a small animal charity" and she should contact that rescue. In other words they had got to 6 or 8 weeks and she had dumped them on a rescue and let them have the job of rehoming them.

Hope she either took the mother as well, or the rescue persuaded her to have her spayed.
